SUNY Cobleskill will join just four other campuses across the country this February in hosting an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Architecture Certification Course. The 12-week program will prepare students for careers in the thriving field of cloud computing.
The course is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals or students to accelerate their careers with cutting-edge skills. AWS Certified Solutions Architects earn a mean salary of $114,000 at the associate level, while AWS Certified Developers earn a mean salary of $137,000. Those interested in taking the class should have foundational knowledge of various application development, computing, and IT concepts and skills.
“In the very near future, every organization’s IT department— and therefore every organization— will depend on the cloud,” said James Dutcher, Chief Information Officer of SUNY Cobleskill. “To be best prepared for the future, today’s IT professional must be able to build services and solutions in the cloud. Obtaining certification as a Cloud Architect is vital for anyone seeking a career in information technology.”
The authorized AWS curriculum will be taught by SUNY Cobleskill instructors in a modular structure, combining instructor-led content, hands-on online labs, knowledge assessments, e-Learning and project work. Participants can attend classes in person or online. The course prepares students to take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification exam.
