Have you ever seen the bumper sticker that reads “No Farms, No Food” as you were driving by? This phrase has never been truer. Local farms are a way to keep a community close and ensure the consumer that their food is fresh and healthy. Everyone should understand where their food comes from. Now, there is a way for consumers to support local farms from the comfort of their homes. Schoharie Fresh is an online farmer’s market, hosted out of Cobleskill, NY. Farms throughout Schoharie County are represented, offering everything from fruits and vegetables to eggs and yogurt to sweets and treats. Anyone can create an account. You have until Wednesday at midnight to place your order and it is ready for pickup on Friday afternoons between 3:00pm and 5:30pm from the Red Barn near Hodder Hall on the SUNY Cobleskill campus.
