I can hardly believe that it’s almost over. The welcome week of freedom may have slipped by, but I am grateful to have had it. I’ve had time to hang out with friends, eat delicious food (homemade pecan pie is the best!), and catch up on some schoolwork (Yes, even during breaks, school has a way of sneaking in. Ten page papers will juxtapose themselves with eggnog and cookies).
A word on that—even though it is tempting to take the whole week “off,” I’ve certainly found that keeping up with homework is imperative. Even if I don’t have a lot of projects due (which was not the case this semester…I had about seven to juggle), I try to keep on top of my game by glancing over some notes, reciting some terms, or outlining a paper. Keeping “in practice” can be tremendously helpful when it comes to readjusting for the final part of the semester.
After all, as soon as this weekend ends, it’s back to school for just two more weeks. The semester certainly has a way of flying by, but a week off gave me a much-needed reprieve from my class schedule. Now, fueled up with plenty of Thanksgiving food and extra sleep, I’m ready to take on the final class days and onslaught of projects at a break-neck speed!!!2013-12-10
